MEDFORD, Ore. - A Medford-based company wants you to help them give back to the hungry across the U.S.
Naumes Fruits says their Donate Food Program had a successful first year, collecting 20,000 pounds of fresh fruit for local panties alone. Naumes matches every fruit gift purchased pound-for-pound as a donation.
"They don't get a lot of fresh produce, and fresh produce is such an important part to nutrition. That's another area that I feel like we can be helpful in, is donating some fresh fruit to people that typically wouldn't be able to have that," said Laura Naumes, Vice President of Naumes Inc.
