SMARTWATT ENERGY AND PG&E COMPLETE ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROGRAM FOR NAUMES, INC.
Company will save over 1 million kilowatt hours of electricity annually
 Officials from SmartWatt Energy, Naumes, Inc. PG&E and the community were on hand in June for a presentation of "the big check" from PG&E for more than $100,000 representing the rebates Naumes, Inc. earned for energy efficiency upgrades they implemented. The installation of variable frequency drives on several fan motors and an extensive lighting retrofit will save Naumes, Inc. approximately 1,150,000 kilowatt hours of electricity annually.
Speaking at the event, Laura Naumes of Naumes, Inc commented, "We are thrilled with the improvements to the working conditions for our employees and the energy efficiency of our facilities. SmartWatt Energy's work upgrading our lighting, cooling fans and controls have provided us with the model for future projects, while helping us be more competitive as a company."
 Also at this event, SmartWatt Energy presented its Environmental Stewardship Award, an award given to clients whose energy efficiency programs result in significant impact to the environment. In this instance, the program’s environmental impact is the equivalent of planting 335 acres of trees, removing 216 cars from the road or reducing 2 million pounds of carbon dioxide from the environment.
